The hammer falls for those who fought
Raid bosses drop treasures worth fighting over, so we built the fighting-over into the system: the loot goes to auction, and only the people who actually fought may raise a hand.
How it works
When the boss falls, its loot goes under the hammer among the eligible fighters, and the bidding is in adena, the currency everyone earns by playing. The prize lands on someone who was in the fight, at a price the fight's participants set.
Eligibility is earned in the fight
A bid requires a stake, and the stake is damage actually dealt by your command channel in that fight, with a clan-tenure gate on top so hopping into a clan on boss night buys nothing. Standing nearby is spectating; the auction knows the difference.
Honor Marks are not chips
The Honor Marks you earn in the war effort are a reward currency of their own, weekly-capped and spent elsewhere; they are never the bidding currency. Adena bids, Marks reward, and the two never blur.
