The world of Aden has changed. Time now flows differently, and when midnight strikes, sealed dungeons awaken across the land, revealing ancient tombs filled with riches and danger.
Welcome to the Night-Cycle Catacombs – a new endgame progression system that unlocks only during the night and rewards brave adventurers with ancient adena.
🗓️ THE NIGHT CYCLE Time now matters in L2EVA:
- Day lasts 18 game hours (3 real hours) – normal world
- Night lasts 6 game hours (1 real hour) – catacombs open
- Night occurs every 4 real hours – 6 opportunities per day
- Watch the minimap icon – moon = catacombs are open, sun = sealed
When midnight strikes, server-wide announcements herald the opening of the sealed tombs. When dawn breaks at 6am, stragglers are ejected and the dungeons seal once more.
This is just the beginning – the day/night cycle will soon affect special zone spawns, fishing mechanics, world bosses, and more. The catacombs are only the first system to embrace the cycle.
⚰️ THREE SEALED CATACOMBS Three ancient tombs, each more dangerous than the last:
1. Necropolis of Patriot (Levels 80+)
- The easiest catacomb, perfect for those starting their journey
- 9 unique mob types guarding forgotten treasures
- 50% XP boost
2. Catacomb of Forbidden Path (Levels 85+)
- Mid-tier challenge with stronger guardians
- 8 elite mob types defending the crypt
- 50% XP boost
3. Catacomb of Witch (Levels 90+)
- The deadliest catacomb with +50% buffed monsters
- 8 powerful mob types with enhanced stats
- 50% XP boost
🪙 ANCIENT ADENA Hunt the catacomb guardians to earn Ancient Adena:
- 20% drop chance on every catacomb mob kill
- 200 Ancient Adena daily cap across all three dungeons
- After cap: mobs still drop 1000 regular Adena (soft cap - dungeons stay profitable!)
- Cap resets daily at 6:30 AM
- Spend it with Mammon the Merchant for exclusive endgame gear
