A Few Words About Stages & Progression
We've received several questions about stages, items, and levels, so we'd like to clarify one important thing.
The Catch-Up Server is designed to help everyone progress together.
Stages exist to maintain balance, control equipment progression, and prevent large gaps between players. Not everyone can spend the same amount of time in-game, and we want everyone to have a fair opportunity to enjoy the content.
Regarding levels, progression becomes significantly harder after level 90 due to the new EXP tables introduced with the Celestial update. These progression walls are intentional and help us manage the gap between newer and more experienced characters especially with items gap too.
Imagine if everything were available from day one. A lucky enhancement or an unexpected upgrade could allow one player to obtain equipment far beyond what others have access to, creating an unfair advantage in competitive content such as TvT.
Our goal isn't just faster progression — it's balanced progression
Keep in mind that all the progress you make and everything you farm right now will contribute in the next stage!
We have never announced that the Catch-Up Server would be a one-week server or that a merge would take place after one week. Our goal is to provide a proper progression experience, giving everyone the time and opportunity to develop their characters and prepare for the upcoming stages.
And here’s a little spoiler for you: Stage 2 is on the horizon! We expect to announce the details around the middle of the week, with the new stage planned to go live towards the end of the week. Get ready for upgraded server limits and exciting new content available to everyone!

Let's start with the most important part: stability.
Everything has been running smoothly since the opening, and we are happy to report that no major issues have affected the server. We are glad that everything went according to plan and that you have been able to enjoy your journey without major interruptions.

Important Notice — Resolved Issue
Approximately one hour ago, we noticed something unusual involving a rare Doll that was not intended to exist on the current stage 1 of the server.
To be completely transparent with everyone because we prefer to face our problems and not to avoid them, the item came from an event monster in a zone that we had accidentally overlooked during our final preparations. This monster had a 3% chance of dropping the Doll, which should never have been available in the first place.
The issue has now been fully resolved.
The Doll has been removed, and the monster responsible for the drop has also been removed. The doll also removed from the player. We apologize for this oversight and appreciate your understanding as we continue to ensure everything works as intended.

Welcome to the L2EVA — Stage 1
A lot has happened since we opened the doors of the Open Beta.
Things changed.
Ideas changed.
Some systems were rebuilt, others were adjusted, and many discussions, tests and brainstorming sessions took place behind the scenes.
After all of that work, we have now reached the point where we can finally say:
This is the vision for Stage 1.
We wanted to build a complete and enjoyable experience, where progression makes sense, systems have a purpose, and both new and experienced players can find their place in the world of L2EVA.

Celestial Destiny & Eva's Rise: The Dates
The wait is over. Here is exactly when everything lands.
Friday, September 25: Celestial Destiny on Eva's Grace
Celestial Destiny goes live on Eva's Grace this Friday.
The new official update arrives on top of everything the skill and item audits fixed over the last weeks. Everything custom you play with today carries over: Eva's Bounty, Eva's Mirror, Eva's Whisper and the rest all come with you.
The launcher updates your client automatically when you press Play. Expect a bigger download than a usual patch.
Tuesday, September 29: Eva's Rise Open Beta
Eva's Rise opens its doors for an Open Beta on Tuesday.
The OBT comes with a full GM Shop, so you can gear up instantly and test whatever you want: try every class, push enchants, check builds, explore the new content and find out what you want to play at launch.
- Everything is free to test, nothing is held back
- Report anything that looks wrong: every bug you find now is one that never reaches launch day
- All OBT characters are wiped before launch. Nothing from the beta carries over
- Every OBT participant receives a skin on Eva's Rise at launch, as a thank-you for helping us test
Friday, October 9: Eva's Rise Launches
Eva's Rise, our new catch-up server, launches officially on Friday, October 9.
- A fresh start for everyone. Every character begins at zero, on equal footing
- Boosted rates and faster progression, tuned so a character built on Eva's Rise can genuinely close the gap with the veterans of Eva's Grace
- The destination is a merge. After some months, Eva's Rise merges into Eva's Grace and your progress comes with you. Full merge details will be published well before it happens
Eva's Grace continues exactly as it is. Updates, development and support carry on unchanged, and you are free to play on both servers.

The Road to Celestial Destiny
Today's patch was the biggest balance pass in the server's history, and it is only the opening move. Here is what the next weeks look like.
Today: The Skill Patch
Every class went through a full skill audit, two hunting zones were rebuilt from the ground up, and the September rewards are in. If you have not read the August 31 patch notes yet, do that first: there is a lot in there that touches your character directly.
Running Now: EXP Event
- 1.5x EXP from monster kills for everyone, until September 14
- Levels up to 91 get the catch-up bonus on top of it: 3x EXP total
If you have been waiting to push a character to the endgame, this is the window.
The Coming Weeks: Making Everything Right
The skill audit was half the job. Before Celestial Destiny arrives, our goal is simple: everything already on the server, fully audited and working exactly the way it should.
Next in line: items and augments get the same treatment the skills just got. Everything you own, checked against what its description promises: stats, augments and set effects, with corrections in both directions.
Alongside that:
- More map revamps, continuing the farming revamp that brought you Fairy-invaded Lands and Lands of Shadow
- System refinements and balance tuning across the board, guided by live data from the skill patch
Until Celestial Destiny lands, every development hour goes into fixing and polishing what already exists, so it arrives on a rock-solid foundation. New custom feature development resumes once it is live.
Mid-September: Celestial Destiny
The next official update, Celestial Destiny, is coming to CBT and Live. We expect it around mid-September, and we will announce the exact date one week ahead.
Everything custom you play with today follows into the update: Eva's Bounty, Eva's Mirror, Eva's Whisper and the rest all carry over.
Early October: Eva's Rise
A brand new catch-up server, Eva's Rise, opens in early October. The final date will be announced during the Celestial Destiny CBT.
Eva's Grace continues exactly as it is. Updates, development and support carry on unchanged, and you are free to play on both servers if you want.
What a catch-up server means:
- A fresh start for everyone. A new world where every character begins at zero, on equal footing.
- Boosted rates and faster progression, tuned so a character built on Eva's Rise can genuinely close the gap with the veterans of Eva's Grace.
- The destination is a merge. We will monitor progression after launch, and when the time is right, after some months, Eva's Rise merges into Eva's Grace. Nothing you build is thrown away: your progress comes with you into the main world. Full details on how the merge works will be published well before it happens.

The launcher has been rebuilt from the ground up. A proper installer, a new look, and six new pages that put the whole server in front of you without opening a browser. It now reaches you when you are not even playing, and it connects you to the game faster than it did last week.

Vulkan Renderer: Post-Processing Update
If you've ever watched your frame rate collapse during a siege or a 200-player boss fight, you know the engine's age shows where it hurts the most. The game was built in an era where 30fps was fine and GPUs were an afterthought.
We built something that's never been done before in Lineage 2: a custom Vulkan post-processing pipeline, from scratch, designed specifically for this game. It's not a reshade preset or a config tweak. It's an entirely new rendering layer that sits between the game engine and your screen, adding visual effects that the original engine was never capable of.
The renderer analyzes every frame in real time, separating 3D geometry from UI elements, so effects only touch the game world while your interface stays pixel-perfect.
And the headline feature: Frame Generation, powered by AMD FSR 3 optical flow. It studies the motion between frames and creates entirely new ones in between, effectively doubling your frame rate. That 30fps siege? Now it's 60.
Visual Effects
Each effect can be toggled individually from the launcher:
- HDR (Adaptive Sharpening + Tone Mapping): Sharper image, richer colors, and smoother gradients
- Ambient Occlusion (SSAO): Adds natural shadows in corners, crevices, and between objects
- Anti-Aliasing (SMAA): Smooths jagged edges on 3D objects while keeping UI text crisp
- Reflections (SSR): Adds subtle reflections on floors and surfaces
- Frame Generation (FSR 3): Doubles your frame rate by generating extra frames between real ones
How to Enable
- Make sure your launcher is up to date (it should auto-update, or download the latest version from the website)
- Toggle Vulkan Renderer ON in the launcher (if you haven't already)
- Click the gear icon next to the toggle to configure individual effects
- All effects are enabled by default
- Changes take effect on next game launch
Recommended Setup
- Works best with a dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA or AMD)
- Onboard/integrated graphics are not recommended for the effects
- If you notice lower performance, open the gear menu and try disabling effects one by one. Frame Generation is the most demanding, so start there
- Older or budget PCs may want to keep the post-processing effects off, or run with just HDR and Anti-Aliasing which are the lightest
L2EVA Update — Week 3
Three weeks in. New systems, new tools, and the foundation for long-term server health.
🌱 Dynamic Catchup System — Live Now
This is one of the most important systems we've built. New players joining today receive 2x XP/SP scaling that automatically adjusts based on the server's top players.
The philosophy is simple: join L2EVA at any point in the server's life and be able to play with your friends within days, not weeks. This isn't a fake "catchup server" that resets or expires. It's a permanent, dynamic system that grows alongside the server. The further the server progresses, the more support new players get.
On top of the XP boost, new players receive a Catchup Starter Pack with gear, skillbooks, dyes, dolls, and consumables to get them into the game immediately. This pack will be updated regularly as the server progresses, so it always stays relevant.
If you have friends you've been wanting to bring in, now is the time. They won't be behind.
🤝 Referral System — Live Now
The referral program is active. Generate a referral code on your account page and share it with friends. They enter your code during registration, and you receive a 5 EUR balance reward when they make their first donation of at least 10 EUR.
⚔️ PvP Changes
Several changes happened this week to improve PvP health:
- Autohunt PvP disabled. You can no longer AFK-kill players on autohunt. PvP requires you to be present and making decisions.
- CC capped at 80. Maximum coordinated force is now alliance size. No more unlimited zergs steamrolling through numbers alone.
- Clan War overhaul. Mutual war triggers automatically after 10 kills. Cancelling a war early costs 2,000 L-Coins from the clan leader with a 12-hour cooldown. Declaring war means something now.
- War death discount. Deaths from mutual clan war enemies cost 50% less L-Coins to resurrect, stacking with other discounts. Fight more, worry less.
These changes exist for one reason: to keep the server healthy long-term.

L2EVA Update — Week 2
Two weeks in. This post covers what we've shipped, what we're adjusting, and where our heads are on the bigger systems coming up.
🛒 Shop is live
As promised, the shop opened today, two weeks after launch. You'll find mission ticket packs, Rune of Abundance packs, and a monthly bundle that combines both at a discount. Everything is capped at small transactions by design. No P2W, no whale-chasing, and the max you can spend in a month stays under the cap we committed to at launch.
We'd rather have a sustainable server full of players who trust us than a burning one full of regret.
⚔️ Daily dungeons split (live)
Daily dungeons now separate premade groups from matchmaking.
Premade groups can enter throughout the day. You shouldn't be punished for having friends to coordinate with.
Matchmaking runs in concentrated windows, because matchmaking quality depends on pool size. Spreading it across all hours just produces worse matches and longer queues.
🔧 Ongoing adjustments
A few live systems are getting tuning passes based on what we've seen over the first two weeks.
Catacombs are shifting to a layered model. Open all day for solo players or anyone with limited time to play, with a night window that turns them into a party-bonus warzone. Same location, two different experiences depending on when you're there.
Olympiad timing and point calculations are being adjusted. Full details when the changes go live.
Siege timing is being moved earlier in the Sunday window. Specifics coming once finalized.
L-Coin progression shop is getting new items added next week. More to share when they go live.
⚖️ PvP death recovery
One piece of feedback we've been hearing clearly: the current recovery costs on PvP deaths discourage people from engaging in PvP as freely as they'd like. That's not the game we want to run.
We're adjusting the system so PvP can happen more freely without the constant weight of recovery costs hanging over every engagement. Specifics coming with the patch.
Alongside this, clan war cancellation penalties will be returning soon. Declaring clan war should mean something. Cancelling to dodge consequences shouldn't be free.
🌱 Dynamic catchup system
The biggest upcoming system we want to talk about, without over-promising specifics, is dynamic catchup.
One of the hardest problems in any long-running MMO is what happens to players who join weeks, three months, six months in. On most servers, they show up, realize they're months behind their friends, and quit. We don't want that.
New players should be able to join at any point in the server's life and play alongside friends who started earlier without feeling like they're grinding through obsolete content just to reach where the rest of the server already is.
The catchup system will progress alongside the server. The further along the server is, the more support new players get when they join. Players who started at launch won't feel their progression was wasted, and players joining later won't feel locked out.
More on the mechanics when the design is finalized. We'd rather ship it right than ship it fast.

Eva's Grace - Grand Opening
After months of development and three phases of testing, the gates of Eva's Realm open for good on April 3rd, 2026.
Your characters, your progress, your clans, everything from this point forward is permanent.
OBT remains open until launch day. Use the time to test classes, explore content, and report any issues you find. Everything you help us catch now makes launch day better for everyone.
To our testers, every bug report, every suggestion, every hour you spent grinding through a wipe-confirmed beta made this server what it is today. You didn't just test a server, you helped shape it. L2EVA launches better on April 3rd because of you.
We're not slowing down between now and launch. Patches will continue daily as we address every remaining issue you've reported. If you find something, keep reporting it, it matters and it gets fixed.

What's New
x10 EXP rates - Level up fast, build multiple subclasses, experiment with builds. This is your chance to test everything.

What We Need You To Test
This phase is all about endgame stress testing. The more you break, the better the launch will be.
🔱 Eva's Bounty Raids - This is the big one. Hunt every raid boss you can find. We need volume. Kill them, respawn them, kill them again. Report anything that feels off.
🏰 Sieges - Organize, attack, defend. We need full-scale siege testing.
🏚️ High-Level Dungeons - Push into endgame dungeons and test scaling, drops, and difficulty.
🔄 Subclass System - With x10 rates you can level multiple subclasses quickly. Test switching, skill inheritance, and interactions.

☁️ Fix Connection Issues With One Click
We've seen some players experiencing black screens, login failures, disconnections, or slow downloads. We found a solution that fixes it for most people -and it takes about 30 seconds.
⬇️ Install Cloudflare WARP
Head to https://one.one.one.one and download Cloudflare WARP. It's a free network optimizer made by Cloudflare (one of the biggest internet infrastructure companies in the world). Install it, flip the toggle on, and you're done.
❓ What does it do?
Some ISPs have bad routing, throttle gaming traffic, or use restrictive NATs that mess with your connection. WARP routes your traffic through Cloudflare's optimized network, bypassing all of that. It's not a VPN -it doesn't slow you down or change your location. It just makes your connection work properly.

- Black screen on login
- Stuck on server select
- Random disconnections
- Launcher download failures or slow speeds
- High ping caused by bad ISP routing

- Fill in your personal details. Not mandatory, but highly recommended. It safeguards your account in case of recovery, disputes, or verification. Better safe than sorry
- 💡 The website uses IP verification by default to keep your account safe. If you enable 2FA, you can skip IP verification and log in from anywhere
